so i have a great story to tell you all. back in december our life group decided to go to p.f. changs for a special birthday dinner to celebrate deAuna and tim. trent made reservations weeks in advance and we decided to bring paige along since the only babysitters we could come up with would be at the dinner festivities. unfortunately when we got there the restaurant informed us that all large parties have to sit on the patio (this is december folks- we are talking cold). of course they failed to mention this when trent made the reservation...not good. the girls were dressed up (a few in dresses) and paige was with us (and only four months old), the metal chairs were so cold that we were borrowing our husbands coats to sit on and of course the heat lamp over us was broken- so that was special too. we had fun- but it was less than ideal. josh decided to call p.f. changs the next day and let them know what had happened. the regional manager apologized and felt so bad about it that he made us reservations to come back and to get a $200 credit towards our bill....sweet. so in february we went back- had an awesome free meal, inside the restaurant and enjoyed another evening with some of our favorite people. now that is good customer service if you ask me!

here is a gross mushroom thing we found in our yard...we have no idea what it is but think it must be in the fungus/fungi category... it was the size of a very large pie. yuck!

...you gotta love this girl!

so last saturday we got together with friends and had a movie day...oh yeah...it was great. it was 12 hours of movie watching fun...along with some junk food...pizza...starbucks...carls jr...a crying baby...blankets and good conversation between movies. everyone brought their own favorite and here are the four we watched- i recommend all of them if you have not seen them. they could not be more different- but the are all really good!

THE BURBS...classic 80's movie- gotta love tom hanks

THE ULTIMATE GIFT...great story (adapted from a book) and over all feel good movie (plus it has abigail breslin in it and everyone knows she is a doll from little miss sunshine)

IN AMERICA...so good- it was nothing like i expected- so much better- you gotta see it

BATMAN BEGINS...this was the movie aaron & i brought - it is one of my favorites and who doesn't love a good comic book movie (and who doesn't love christian bale)?

the highlight of our week was a visit from grammy...we sure love her!

one of my mom's dearest friends candi sent paige this adorable home made towl. it has little firefighter bears all over it...along with paige's name and initials and it is so cuddly that she will have it for a long time! we love it! thanks candi!

i love the bath...i love my new bath seat...and i love my fireman ducky! and i love to put EVERYTHING in my mouth these days!

yeah- i finally figured out how to add video to this thing! it is not the best video (taken on our digital camera)...but it is something. i have to admit that i am embaressed at how we tried to get her attention...we must have said paige 500 times...but it is so easy to fall into the silly parenting talk (and especially on video). i even find myself talking baby talk to her...something i never thought i would do before i had her. oh well. enjoy!
