...southern california trip!

here are the pics from our trip a couple weeks ago...

we had the wonderful opportunity of introducing paige to my mom's whole family. the schopeck clan gets together once a year and this year it was for katie & pat's wedding! it was so great because most of them won't get the chance to see her again for a year!

...traveling girls

so here they are...some of the latest pictures from the last few weeks. we have been so busy! aaron has been working a few extra shifts and i have traveled to pleasanton a few times for my baby shower, alicia & dustin's wedding, melissa's baby shower and to help aunt fifi...so many fun things. my baby shower was really fun and it was great to see old friends and let people just hold paige and love on her. i saw a few family friends that i had not seen since our wedding. thanks to everyone who came and showered paige with love and presents. alicia & dustin got married in the barn where we had our wedding reception five years ago...it was beautiful and they looked so happy and in love! check out some of the photos taken by the always talented joel & cara flory! melissa & dan will be having their baby boy in four short weeks...we cannot wait for paige's little boyfriend to arrive! this weekend i needed some help from grammy because paige had a tough week. for two days she was either eating, crying or wanting to be rocked. let's just say thursday night when aaron called to check in i was crying from frustration, exhaustion and simply not knowing what to do to make it better. i think she was going through a growth spurt. aaron was wonderful and watched her the next morning while i went to "moms n more" at church. i even snuck in a trip to target! anyways... it is such a blessing to have my parents and sister so close by for help when aaron is working 48 hour shifts! it is an added bonus that i still have so many wonderful friends from high school and church here in pleasanton. i will be adding pictures from our visit to southern california in the next few days. we had so much fun at my cousin kate's wedding (check out my cousin kim's blog for pictures) and seeing friends. plus paige got to meet elsie & carson...a much anticipated event! she also got to meet my friends at fullmer, the christian's, the meadows, some of aaron's friends from santa ana fire academy and of course my mom's entire family who we usually only see once a year! it was great! paige is a great little traveler!

when aunt fifi saw this shirt she had to get it...it is a famous line from dirty dancing and we thought it was too cute! it is hard to believe our girl is four weeks old. she has quickly become a part of our life that we cannot imagine living without...we adore her. watching her grow is amazing (she has almost gained 2 pounds already)!

we are off on a new adventure this week to see friends, family and good old southern california...not to mention a family wedding we have been looking forward to for a while now. paige is going to meet a lot of people this week and we cannot wait!

gigi came! paige's great grandma marlene came for a visit this past weekend! we all loved the company and the presents from gigi and aunt catherine! lots of girly clothes & gifts!

she was two weeks old on saturday...my how she is growing!

paige is doing well. she is sucking on her thumb as we speak- just found it today! we still just adore every minute with her...

this is why i call her my little frog...she is so cute! we give her sponge baths while she sits on daddy's lap...she is not big on the whole thing yet!

she went back to dr. kratzer this week (he just adores her) and everything checked out great...she is now 8.2 lbs. and growing. she is quite the healthy eater...in fact most nights she keeps mommy up all night because she wants to eat!

here are a few pics from last tuesday...it was very hard for them to leave...paige misses them already. they helped a lot while they were here and even helped unpack a bunch of our boxes...we cannot wait for aunt shannon, uncle kevin and gigi (great grandma marlene) to come visit too!

we took paige to target today for mommy's first shopping spree! i found some great clothes for her and look forward to many shopping trips to come. she hung out in the metro wrap (see above) the whole time...barely made a peep until the end when she was getting hot. also, we got our first delivery of cloth diapers today from a diaper service my parents are doing for us. we had planned to do cloth diapers and when my mom heard she made a bunch of phone calls to help us track down a service so we don't have to worry about washing them right now. how nice!
